United Way Greater Toronto
I joined United Way Greater Toronto in April 2018 following the merger of United Way Toronto York Region and United Way of Peel Region.
In my new role, I focused on graphic design working on a variety of projects ranging from PowerPoint templates to T-shirt design to research reports to social media graphics. Items were often produced in both digital and print formats.
Donor Recognition
United Way Greater Toronto recognizes major donors each year in their Honour Roll. This printed booklet includes long and short profiles of a select few donors.
Regional Information Sheets
United Way Greater Toronto serves a large area including Peel Region and York Region. These one-page documents (11x17 folded in half) were created to showcase the unique issues facing each of the municipalities.
T-shirt for the 2019 CN Tower Stair Climb
The CN Tower climb is an annual fundraising event held by United Way Greater Toronto where participants climb the 1,776 steps of the CN tower.
In 2019, the event was held November 2-3. Over 8,000 people participated in the climb.
Templates
In order to support the Campaign team, I developed PowerPoint templates that they could update and personalize, quickly and easily.
Partnership Reports
United Way creates detailed reports for some of its larger corporate donors. Typically it a summary of the imact the organization has had on the community over the last year.
The reports typically incorporates the corporation's branding. Both a print and digital version are usually provided.
Activation Kit
The 2018 Campaign launch for United Way Greater Toronto was not held at a single location. Instead, people were able to attend small volunteer events across Peel,
Toronto and York Region.
There was a set package of materials including posters, lollipop signs and selfie sticks that needed to be distributed at these locations. To make
it easier on the team of volunteers, I created a fun pizza box to contain these items. It made it next to impossible for items to get lost in transit.
Rebalancing the Opportunity Equation
United Way Greater Toronto is known for its groundbreaking research.
Rebalancing the Opportunity Equation looks at income trends between 1980 – 2015, as well as the income gap between young people, immigrants, racialized groups and the rest of the population in Peel, Toronto and York regions. This report was issued in 2019.
